Uses

Use for: minor bumps, bruises, muscle aches, strains and sprains; tension headaches and toothaches; minor burns, scrapes, cuts and insect bites.

Directions

Cold Use: Store pack in freezer for at least 2 hours. Insert pack in the cover provided or wrap in a lightweight towel before use. Clean the injured area to help reduce swelling. Remove pack if it becomes uncomfortable. Reapply in a few moments if comfortable. However, do not apply for longer than 20 minutes. After applying for 20 minutes, leave the injured area uncovered for 20 minutes before applying another cold pack. Hot Use: WARNING do not exceed recommended heating times. Overheating can cause pack to break and leak causing burns. Microwave Heating Instructions: (pack at room temperature). Caution heating in microwave ovens causes hot spots. Knead pack immediately after heating to distribute heat evenly throughout pack. Discard if leaking. Lay pack flat in the microwave oven on a paper towel or paper plate. Heat at full power (see side panel schedule for heating requirements). Stop heating if pack expands like a balloon: pack is too hot. Remove from microwave oven and knead pack to distribute heat. Insert pack in cover provided and carefully place pack against forearm to check for desired temperature. If too hot, let cool. Apply pack to desired area. Remove pack if it becomes uncomfortable. Reapply in a few moments if comfortable. To reheat: place hot pack back in microwave for 5-10 second intervals until desired temperature is reached.

Warnings

Elderly or persons with circulatory problems should not use any cold or hot packs except as directed by a doctor. When using as a cold pack, remove the pack after 20 minutes. Leave the injury uncovered for 20 minutes before applying another pack. Skin damage including frostbite can occur with applications longer than 20 minutes. Use only with the enclosed cover or cloth for insulation to prevent frostbite or burns. Watch carefully when using with children and elderly whose skin may burn or freeze easily. Excessive heating or lying on top of the pack could cause pack to break, leak and burn skin. Do not use heat therapy with external pain killing products. Check for leaks before use. Avoid puncturing. Throw away if punctured or leaking. For external use only. Keep out of the reach of children. Adult supervision is recommended for application. Suggested First Aid: If contents contact skin or eyes, remove pack immediately. Thoroughly flush with water. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call a doctor or poison control center immediately. If you have questions about a major injury or if swelling or pain persists, talk to your doctor. Cold therapy is recommended for the first 48 hours after an injury. Heat therapy should not be used until 48 hours after injury"""
