Antihistamine, Pain Reliever-Fever Reducer
Uses
Temporarily relieves runny nose and sneezing due to the common cold. Temporarily relieves minor aches, pains and headache associated with a cold or flu. Temporarily reduces fever.
Directions
Adults and children 12 years and over: 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours, not more than 12 tablets in 24 hours. Children 6 to under 12 years of age: 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours, not more than 5 tablets in 24 hours. Children under 6 years of age: ask a doctor.
Warnings
Alcohol warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take acetaminophen or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage. Ask a doctor before use if you have: a breathing problem such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis; glaucoma; trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking sedatives or tranquilizers. When using this product: excitability may occur, especially in children; drowsiness may occur; avoid alcoholic beverages; alcohol, sedatives and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness; use caution when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery. Stop use and ask a doctor if: pain lasts more than 10 days (adults) or 5 days (children 6 to under 12 years); fever lasts more than 3 days; pain or fever persists or gets worse, if new symptoms occur or if redness or swelling is present. These could be signs of a serious condition. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Prompt medical attention is critical for adults as well as children even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
